How to Pray

Pray for the team at Ambassadors for Christ International and the people they serve.

AFCI describes itself as teams of nationals accelerating the spread of the gospel through local churches worldwide. Its ministers are born in the nations where they serve — more than twenty of them — and are committed to building long-term ministries in their own homelands.

They work as teams rather than as individuals, look for the most effective and relevant ways to reach their societies, and always work through local churches: in some nations planting churches with denominational leaders, in others training local church leaders to reach out more effectively. AFCI was founded in 1948.

AFCI's national teams serve across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, in countries including Ghana, Zambia, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Paraguay, Cambodia, India, the Philippines, Romania and Ukraine. Leadership of its world mission draws on cooperative input from many nations, and Brian Hamilton serves as International Director.

Testimonies

  • “The team was looked upon with a great deal of suspicion, but in response to their kindness and the Gospel message, one woman named Anny came to faith in Jesus Christ.”
