Delete Your Account
You can delete your Christchurch Miami app account at any time — from inside the app, or by asking us. Here is exactly what happens when you do.
Last updated: August 31, 2026
Delete It Yourself, In the App
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open the Christchurch Miami app
- Go to Me
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
- Type your email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion
We ask you to type your email rather than just tap a button on purpose. Deleting is the one thing in the app that cannot be undone, and a phone left unlocked on a table should not be enough to do it.
Or Ask Us — No App Required
If you have deleted the app, changed phones, or would simply rather we did it, email hello@christchurchmiami.org from the address you used to sign in and ask us to delete your app account. We will confirm when it is done.
Please send it from the same email address you signed in with — that is how we know the request is yours.
What Gets Deleted
When your app account is deleted, we remove:
- Your app account and the sign-in that goes with it
- Prayer requests you posted, along with the notes, comments, updates and prayer activity attached to them
- Prayers you marked for other people's requests
- Reports and blocks you created
- Your notification tokens, so the app stops sending anything to your phone
This happens immediately. There is no waiting period and no soft delete.
What We Keep, and Why
Your Planning Center record
Deleting your app account does not delete your record in Planning Center — the system the church uses to keep track of people. That record may go back years, and it is the church's record of you as a member, not an account you created in an app. We do not think a phone should be able to erase it.
If you want that removed as well, email hello@christchurchmiami.org and ask. A person will handle it.
Messages in group rooms
If you have written in a group room, those messages stay in the room after your account is deleted — the same way leaving a group text does not unsend what you already said. The other people in that room still have a conversation that has to make sense. Ask us if you need something specific removed.
Anything the law requires
Giving records are handled by Church Center, not by this app, and are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Deleting your app account does not affect them.
Questions
Email hello@christchurchmiami.org — we would rather answer a question than have you guess. Our full Privacy Policy explains everything else we collect and why.
