About Christchurch Miami
Christchurch Miami is a faith family on mission in Kendall, Florida. We exist to glorify God by helping people know, love, and serve Jesus - every family and every generation. We're a Bible-believing, Reformed church gathering for worship every Sunday at 11 AM at 8485 SW 112th Street in Miami's Kendall neighborhood.
Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning to church after a long pause, or looking for a faith family where you can belong, grow, and serve - the door at Christchurch is open. We are not a megachurch. We are a faith family - a church where people actually know each other, where the gospel is preached without apology, and where every person is welcomed into the work of God in this city.
Our Story
Our story is being written. Check back soon for the full account of how Christchurch Miami began - the prayer, the people, and the calling that led us to plant a new faith family in Kendall.
What We Believe
Christchurch Miami stands in the historic stream of Reformed Christianity. We confess the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Westminster Confession of Faith. We hold Scripture as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We trust salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone - to the glory of God alone. Our beliefs are not a wall to keep people out. They are a foundation to build a faith family on.

How We Worship
Our Sunday gatherings are warm, contemporary, and biblical. A typical Sunday at Christchurch runs about 70 minutes - worship through music led by a small band, Scripture reading, a teaching sermon from one of our pastors, and the regular practice of communion, baptism, and corporate prayer. Whether you grew up in church or this is your first time walking into one, you'll find a faith family ready to welcome you in.
We worship in English. Each Sunday's sermon is also translated and made available in Spanish through our YouTube channel and church app - because Christchurch is a faith family for the city of Miami in both of its primary languages.
A Faith Family on Mission
Three words shape how we live as a church: community, grace, and purpose.
- Community - a faith family where you can belong before you believe, where the doors are open and the table is set for the curious, the seeking, and the wounded.
- Grace - the radical mercy of God meeting us where we are, not where we wish we were. Grace bigger than our worst day.
- Purpose - the conviction that every person is sent into the world for a reason. Purpose is something Jesus gives, not something we manufacture.
Our strategy as a church is simple: WIN the lost, BUILD the believer, SEND out everyone to live on mission. Sundays gather us. Groups grow us. Mission sends us - into Miami and beyond.

Our Pastors
Christchurch has two preaching pastors who share the pulpit as co-equal voices: Lead Pastor Rev. James Drake and Teaching Pastor Dr. Kent Keller. James is a U.S. Army Chaplain serving with the 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and a 20+ year Cru ministry veteran. Kent is a published author with a Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary and over 30 years of pastoral experience. Together they shepherd Christchurch as a church that takes both Scripture and people seriously.
Kids and Families
Christchurch is a family church. We have age-graded ministries for kids from infants through 5th grade - nursery (0-2), Littles (3-6), and Kids 1st-5th - and a youth program for middle and high schoolers that meets Sundays and Wednesdays. Heidi Drake serves as our Family Ministry Director. Every Sunday, your child will be welcomed into a safe, fun, Christ-centered environment that is an integral part of how Christchurch lives out our mission across every family and every generation.
