At Christchurch Miami, people are our priority. That includes how we treat your information when you visit our website, fill out a form, or interact with us online. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, please reach out - we'd rather answer a question than have you guess.

Christchurch Miami is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit church located at 8485 SW 112th Street, Miami, FL 33156. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Christchurch Miami. When it says "you" or "your," it means you - the person visiting christchurchmiami.org or interacting with us online.

  • Contact form submissions: When you fill out a contact or Plan a Visit form, we collect your name, email address, and any message you send us.
  • Ministry inquiries, prayer requests, or volunteer interest: If you reach out about kids ministry, youth, groups, school, or serving with us, we collect whatever you choose to share.
  • eNewsletter signups: When you subscribe to our weekly eNewsletter, we collect your name and email address.
  • Email correspondence: If you email us at hello@christchurchmiami.org, we keep a record of that communication so we can serve you well.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, certain information is collected automatically through tools like Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager:

  • IP address (which we use only to understand the general geography of our visitors)

  • We don't sell your information. Ever.

We use the information you give us and the information collected automatically to:

  • Respond to your messages and questions
  • Help you plan your first visit
  • Connect you to a ministry, group, or staff member you've asked about
  • Send you information you've specifically requested (like a follow-up after a Plan a Visit form)
  • Send our weekly eNewsletter - but only if you've subscribed
  • Understand how our website is being used so we can improve it
  • Comply with applicable laws

We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. If you've subscribed to our weekly eNewsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email - and we won't send anything to you that you haven't asked for.

We care deeply about kids - they're part of the family. Our Kids and Youth ministries serve children directly, but our website itself is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us through the website, please contact us at hello@christchurchmiami.org and we'll delete it promptly.

In-person ministry information about minors (kids check-in, youth events, school enrollment at Kendall Christian) is collected and governed through separate processes with parent or guardian consent.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that's inaccurate
  • Delete your information (sometimes called the "right to be forgotten")
  • Opt out of certain uses of your information

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect - secure connections (HTTPS) on every page, trusted hosting providers, and limited internal access to personal data. No system is ever perfectly secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep contact form submissions and email correspondence for as long as we reasonably need it to serve you and respond to follow-ups - typically up to a few years. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, just ask.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll update the Last updated date at the top of the page and post a notice on our website. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
