From Legacy to launch …

Christchurch Miami is building on the strong foundation laid by Kendall Presbyterian Church. Our next chapter is about expanding the vision to reach more people with the hope of the Gospel: every family and every generation. To launch well, we need everyone linking arms as a faith family on mission. Together, we can honor the legacy and help shape a vibrant future for our church and our city.

LAUNCH TEAM FAQ's

Who can be on the Launch Team?
Anyone who is willing to commit to the mission, vision, and values of Christchurch Miami. We welcome singles, couples, families, students, and retirees, anyone with a heart to serve and help launch the church.
How long is the commitment?
The initial launch phase runs through our preview services starting August 17, 2025, and ideally through the last Sunday of the year on December 28, 2025. After that, team members can prayerfully consider continuing as members of church leadership or transitioning based on how God leads.
Can I help for a while and return to my home church?
Yes! We welcome short-term Launch Team members. If you're part of another church and feel called to help us get started, we’d love to partner with you during this season. Just let us know your availability and how you’d like to serve. James is willing to speak with your pastor as well; just let us know if you'd like him to reach out. Our desire is that Christchurch Miami primarily grows through people coming to faith and your presence during this launch season can help reach more people for Christ by creating critical mass and warmly serving guests. If you're part of another church and feel called to help us get started, we’d love to partner with you during this season. Just let us know your availability and how you’d like to serve.
What are the expectations of being on a Launch Team?
  • Pray regularly for the church and the people of Miami
  • Show up consistently and on time
  • Own your area of ministry (delegate, don’t dump!)
  • Engage relationally: meet new people & follow up
  • Invite others into the mission
  • Give & serve joyfully, generously, and sacrificially
  • Be flexible and encouraging as we pioneer together
